ABOUT HYPNOSIS

Hypnosis is a wonderful state of DEEP RELAXATION.  You are not asleep.  You always retain full and total control. Many people think they will be unconscious and under the ‘control’ of the hypnotist.  

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH.

Hypnosis is a 100% Consent State.  If at any time you wish to emerge from the state of hypnosis, for any reason, you will instantly open your eyes and become fully alert.

When you are in hypnosis, you are deeply relaxed physically…but mentally you are many times more alert than in you normal state of awareness.  You hear and respond to everything being said.  You are an active participant in the session.

Your mind is NOT being controlled by the hypnotist. You will never say, or do, anything you would not want to do.  YOU ALWAYS REMAIN IN TOTAL CONTROL.  You instantly reject any suggestion or instruction that is uncomfortable to you.

If you WANT the suggestions and instructions that have been given, they are allowed to enter you subconscious mind.  This part of you is like a computer and must respond to what is allowed to enter it.

Using hypnosis, we are able to access our subconscious mind and allow ourselves to be whatever we wish to be.  What may take hours with conventional methods can often be accomplished with one or two sessions of hypnosis.


CONSCIOUS MIND:  its main jobs are to analyze and rationalize.  It holds our short-term memory and our will power.  It does NOT have the ability to change behaviors.  This is why we cannot just change a habit because we decide to, or will it so, or repeat continuous conscious affirmations. 

This is the major cause of failure even though we had the best of intentions.  It creates a vicious belief system that if we just tried harder we could “fix” the problem.  We then lose confidence in ourselves and the behavior continues.

The four choices the conscious mind has during hypnosis and upon hearing a suggestion are:
1.“That’s great.  I want it and I know it is going to work.” And it will work.
2.“I like that.  I sure HOPE it works.”  Hope = Try and failure results.
3. Indifference or neutrality. “I don’t care if it works.”
4. A suggestion that is even the slightest bit uncomfortable, or doesn’t fit, you will reject immediately.

SUBCONSCIOUS MIND:  Within this mind is our emotions, our long-term memory of EVERYTHING that has ever happened to us, all of our habits, and our Protector against real or imagined danger.  It is here that our problems and their causes lie.

If we remove the underlying reason, the behaviors change.  The subconscious knows the cause and it is here that hypnosis does its work so well.  It is here that you are at your most receptive to suggestions and instructions that allow you to change your subconscious beliefs. The cause is addressed and the habit or resistance is removed.  Thus our lives are changed and we feel confident and empowered.

The hypnosis consultation objective is to balance your conscious mind with your subconscious mind, to give you success in the area you want to change.

As you can now see, your correct mental attitude upon hearing a suggestion is what determines whether you have positive change in your life, or your life remains status quo.

If you enter an agreement with yourself and allow me to be your guide, with the correct mental attitude - “I want it and I know it’s going to work”- then you will have a successful session and transform your life.
